The pottery is traditionally produced around Bizen City in Okayama Prefecture and is one of the 6 ancient kilns.A symbol of an ascending kiln is a square chimney made of bricks.

The potteries made at the end of Kamakura period are highly valued as “Ko-bizen”.Around that time, a style of pottery which does not use glaze and is reddish brown had completed by reducing firing.
The biggest characteristic of the pottery is one-of-a-kind colorful pattern created by yo-hen (deformation during firing).

The various “scenery” of the pottery makes it look attractive by the content of iron in clay, ashes of firewood, and the angle of the fire inside the straw and kiln. The more you use it, the more it gives a good hand touch, brilliance, and gloss and creates attachment.
